Calls for projects
To achieve these goals, the PTL CARLA relies ontwo annual calls for proposals:
- NEXT: Funding forsix Master’s 2 internships(6 months), including stipends and operating expenses.
- TALENTS: Funding fortwo18-monthfixed-term contracts forlong-termresearchers, each withan operating budget of €8,000.
AAP NEXT
The NEXT Call for Proposals aims to support research efforts within the units of the Chemistry Research Cluster that seek to develop an emerging research project focused on sustainable chemistry for health.
To this end, the CARLA PTL will fund six Master’s-level internships focused on the PTL’s thematic areas.
Through the NEXT call for proposals, the CARLA PTL aims to promote research-based training for Master’s 2 students and encourage NEXT program recipients to pursue doctoral studies within the Chemistry Research Cluster.
2026 (coming soon)
2025 (Closed)
The PTL CARLA launched its first NEXT call for projects in 2025.
The winners of this year's competition are as follows:
- Cindy Patinote (IBMM): Targeting an anti-HER2 antibody with Imiquilin against pancreatic cancer
- Coline Pinese (IBMM):Photocrosslinkable CA-PLA-MA copolymers for biomedical applications
- Claudia Muracciole Bich (IBMM): Characterization of peptides with insecticidal properties using mass spectrometry imaging (MSI)
- Sylvie Begu (ICGM): Plant-derived extracellular vesicles: new vectors for topical delivery in chronic inflammatory diseases
- Sylvain Catrouillet (ICGM): Investigating the dynamic assembly of nucleobase-containing polymer–mRNA complexes for RNA delivery applications
- Corine Tourne-Peteilh (ICGM):Saloplastic Materials for Innovative Bacterial Encapsulation
AAP TALENTS
The TALENTS call for projects is based both on the selection of groundbreaking and ambitious scientific projects led by early-career researchers (EC/C) within the Chemistry cluster, and on the recruitment of high-potential candidates who can apply for prestigious grants (ERC, PF-MSCA, etc.) and/or early-career researcher competitions.
In this regard, the CARLA PTL is funding two 18-month fixed-term researcher contracts focused on the PTL’s thematic areas.
2026 (Closed)
The PTL CARLA launched its second call for TALENTS projects in September 2025.
The winners of this year's competition are as follows:
- ECOPanC, led by Carine Masquéfa (IBMM), and;
- MOSAIC, led by Julien Schmitt (ICGM).
